Since hitchhiking from Nashville, TN., with only $5 in his pocket, Don Gaddes, president of Michigan Valley Homes has come a long way.
Before finding his niche as a builder, Gaddes dabbled as an artist for Sears, pitched minor league baseball, played in a country-music band and worked for Ford Motor Company.

|
Gaddes has traveled the country - and the world - learning building science and its processes. He has attended the universities of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maine and Michigan State. He spent time in Sweden researching ventilation concepts and studied under John Bower, author and founder of the Healthy Home Institute. A student of building science and house pressures for more than 30 years Gaddes has been awarded life membership in the Energy & Environmental Building Association (EEBA).
Formerly a member of the EEBA board of directors, Gaddes has chaired the board of appeals for the Jackson County Health Department and is a long-standing member of the Home Builders Association.
